Role overview
The City of Mount Gambier is seeking an External Funding Coordinator to help secure outside funding for projects that support the region’s strategic goals, community initiatives and infrastructure needs. This position suits someone who can identify strong opportunities, prepare convincing funding submissions and keep several project elements moving smoothly at once.
Mount Gambier is South Australia’s regional centre on the Limestone Coast, offering a mix of professional challenge and a lifestyle known for natural attractions, food and wine, sport, and easy access to both Melbourne and Adelaide. Key duties
- Track down funding options from government, philanthropic and private-sector sources.
- Assess eligibility requirements and prepare recommendations for leadership.
- Draft polished grant applications and other funding submissions.
- Coordinate project plans, budgets, supporting material and risk details.
- Oversee grant reporting, compliance obligations and acquittal processes.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with funders and stakeholders.
- Keep grant registers, reporting systems and audit-ready documentation up to date.
- Strengthen Council’s overall grant capability, systems and long-term funding approach.
