About the Company

A well-established contractor in Adelaide specializing in small to mid-scale civil construction projects, supporting local council, government, and developer initiatives to enhance public spaces and civil infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Director by preparing cost estimates for civil construction works across Adelaide.
• Analyze drawings, scopes, and documentation to identify project risks and determine suitable construction methodologies.
• Carry out material and quantity take-offs and establish rates for earthworks, roadwork, stormwater management, and concrete.
• Collaborate with project managers and site personnel to coordinate pricing strategies aligned with project delivery plans.
• Source and evaluate prices from subcontractors and suppliers as required.
• Review tender documents thoroughly and manage clarifications during the bidding process.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience of at least 2 years in estimating for civil construction projects and/or council works, with local South Australian knowledge.
• Strong familiarity with the South Australian subcontractor market including pricing, construction methodologies, and council tendering expectations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
