Key Responsibilities

• Examine project drawings, specifications, and client demands carefully.
• Develop precise quantity take-offs, cost projections, and budget forecasts.
• Solicit and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate costs related to materials, labor, and production techniques to estimate project expenses.
• Create comprehensive quotations and proposals for clients.
• Collaborate with design, production, and sales departments to confirm project viability and competitive pricing.
• Update estimates reflecting changes in project scope and prevailing market prices.
• Maintain accurate cost databases and facilitate ongoing enhancements in estimation methods.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable background in estimation, cost assessment, and quantity take-offs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications proficiently.
• Experience in sourcing materials, obtaining supplier quotes, and negotiating terms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel combined with strong analytical capabilities.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple tender processes and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Previous exposure to signage, joinery, shopfitting, construction, fabrication or manufacturing industries preferred.
• Qualifications in technical, engineering, construction or related fields are advantageous.
