Project Details
The role pertains to multiple offshore projects located worldwide, with the job situated primarily in Dammam, Eastern Saudi Arabia.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Ensure safe conduct of engineering watch duties aboard a manned engine-room or in locations with periodically unmanned engine-rooms, fulfilling marine engineering functions in accordance with regulations III/4 and/or III/5.
- Perform assigned tasks within the scope of individual responsibilities and qualifications, safeguarding adherence to safe working procedures.
- Report directly to the Engineer on Watch and execute work as delegated within personal competency limits.
- Support engine room operations and participate actively in watchkeeping activities.
- Conduct maintenance tasks as prescribed by corresponding STCW regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of STCW certificates in compliance with National Codes of Practice (CoP) Reg. III/4 for junior or expert roles, and Reg. III/5 for senior positions.
- Completion of all required trainings and certifications as detailed in the specified Training Matrix.
- Minimum of two years offshore experience is mandatory for the expert-level positions.
- Required training includes various STCW certifications such as proficiency certificates, personal survival techniques, firefighting (basic and advanced), first aid, security duties, and additional offshore safety courses like OPITO certifications and Safe Return to Port training.
Educational Requirements and Skills
- Certificate of Proficiency is required.
- Proficiency in English language is necessary to fulfill communication requirements.
- Demonstrated technical experience of at least two years in offshore environments is essential.
