Role Overview
The Duty Manager role is a full-time, permanent position requiring 45 hours over five days weekly. The position includes competitive compensation with additional work on other days compensated as per company policy. You will be responsible for overseeing the front of house operations, ensuring top-quality service at all guest interaction points. Collaborating closely with Lodge Management, you will coordinate guest services, support food and beverage operations, and lead service teams to provide luxurious, unforgettable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly, offering personalized introductions to lodge amenities and services.
- Maintain high levels of guest engagement by anticipating and catering to their needs.
- Assist with Food & Beverage operations whenever necessary.
- Manage guest movements and ensure clear communication between internal departments.
- Support daily operations and service guidance in coordination with Lodge Management.
- Assist in staff training, conduct team briefings, and promote effective communication.
- Maintain superior service standards throughout front of house activities.
- Handle administrative duties, including reporting and rostering support.
- Act as hotel management representative and make operational decisions if senior leaders are unavailable.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years hospitality experience, preferably within luxury hotels, resorts, or lodges.
- Demonstrated leadership in front of house or food & beverage operations.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in guest interactions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Professional appearance with close attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to inspire and support team members.
