Dot Net Backend Developer - Gurgaon (Hybrid)

Role Summary

This role seeks a capable Backend Developer to architect, build, and sustain high-quality RESTful APIs primarily using C# and ASP.NET Web API technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic, collaborative team focused on delivering secure, scalable backend solutions that integrate seamlessly with applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs leveraging C# and ASP.NET Web API frameworks.
• Develop backend services that prioritize scalability, security, and optimal performance.
• Work closely with frontend engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to define and agree on API specifications and integration needs.
• Produce clean, well-documented, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code adhering to established quality standards.
• Engage actively in code reviews and contribute toward enhancing development methodologies.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues in production environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support API usage and architectural decisions.
• Ensure backend components meet stringent performance, security, and reliability benchmarks.
• Participate in continuous integration and delivery pipelines to automate deployments where applicable.

Essential Qualifications and Expertise

• Proven hands-on commercial experience programming in C#.
• Strong background in developing applications using ASP.NET Web API.
• Sound knowledge of REST API design principles and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with data exchange formats and protocols such as JSON, HTTP, including authentication and authorization mechanisms like OAuth and JWT.
• Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming and sound software design methodologies.
• Competence with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience or knowledge of GraphQL API technologies.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps Pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• Understanding of technologies including Dapr, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Aspire platform.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native application development, especially on Microsoft Azure.
• Awareness of microservices architecture and its implementation.
• Knowledge of automated unit and integration testing principles.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Understanding observability concepts including logging and monitoring frameworks.
