Role overview
The Talbot Group is hiring a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Specialist in Duleek, County Meath, Ireland. This is an onsite, full-time position paying €20 per hour. The role is focused on helping residents live as independently as possible while delivering person-centred support.
You will work alongside the Person In-Charge and multidisciplinary professionals, and you will also help guide, support, and mentor frontline staff in day-to-day practice.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred assistance to residents.
- Encourage independence, personal choice, and meaningful daily routines.
- Support and oversee frontline team members while setting a strong example.
- Contribute to medication support, key working, care planning, and clinical good practice.
- Liaise with families and multidisciplinary teams to support residents in reaching their goals.
- Keep accurate documentation and follow health, safety, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- QQI Level 6 qualification or higher in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related area.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Direct Support Worker role or a similar position.
- A full Irish driving licence.
- Irish, EU, or EEA passport.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, person-centred approach.
