The company integrates planning, design, and execution to develop large-scale destination projects.
Role Overview
In the capacity of Director - Urban Planning, you will be pivotal in steering the planning and design strategies over multiple intricate projects. Your work will ensure cohesion among visionary goals, design excellence, commercial feasibility, and sustainable development aims by collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to secure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to formulating the Planning and Design strategy aligned with company goals.
- Engage in the creation and enforcement of design-related policies, procedures, and quality controls.
- Assist in budgeting for Place, Planning, and Design functions to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Oversee the creation and enforcement of design guidelines applicable to portfolio projects.
- Provide support to development teams during design and construction phases including guidance, design reviews, and specification alignment.
- Coordinate design efforts across various consulting parties from early concept through to implementation, ensuring consistency with the master plan.
- Manage tracking and organization of multiple design deliverables to maintain solution uniformity and efficiency.
- Verify that design solutions meet commercial viability standards and comply with relevant regulations.
- Lead design processes through stages including land acquisition, planning, and approvals, ensuring milestones are met.
- Ensure all projects adhere strictly to the approved master plan and enforce corrective measures when deviations occur.
- Provide leadership by setting clear objectives, overseeing team performance, and fostering skill development.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth to enhance team motivation and capability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or a similar discipline is required.
- Demonstrated experience with extensive mixed-use destination developments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software tools.
- Proven ability to ensure compliance with master plans across large project portfolios.
- A Master’s degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or related field is an advantageous addition.
