Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and develop strategic equity deals in South East Asia and India alongside senior SECM originators and Coverage Bankers.
- Maintain ongoing communication with key clients in the region, establishing direct relationships at the C-suite level on matters related to strategic equity.
- Lead the preparation of marketing materials and keep abreast of clients' and competitors' activities within the strategic equity domain.
- Manage the transaction approval workflow from the business line perspective, coordinating internally with legal, compliance, accounting teams to address all specific requirements or constraints of each deal.
- Regularly inform SECM’s internal parties about new business approaches, innovative transaction structures, and updates to policies or regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven track record in handling transactions or managing client relationships (including with corporates and family offices) within the South East Asia and India region.
- At least 10 years of experience in the banking sector, with a minimum of five years specifically in investment banking or strategic equity business preferred.
- Confidence and ability to engage professionally with senior client executives and internal stakeholders.
- Expertise in risk and credit evaluation, especially as it relates to credit and market risk management strategies.
- Strong proficiency in English communication and presentation abilities.
- A proactive attitude combined with self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
