Job description

Overview

The University of Cape Coast invites applications for the role of Director at the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA). This leadership position reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and requires a candidate of professorial status.

Roles and Duties

  • Lead the coordination of academic program planning and monitoring throughout the university.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive university-wide quality assurance protocols ensuring high standards across all faculties and departments.
  • Maintain consistent communication and reporting to the Vice-Chancellor on academic planning and assurance matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • An internationally recognized academic scholar at the professorial rank.
  • A doctoral degree (PhD) relevant to the field of study.
  • Substantial experience in university teaching, research, and administration.
  • Strong familiarity with principles of total quality management.

Terms and Conditions

  • This is a full-time appointment for an initial period of four years, with eligibility for one additional four-year term provided the statutory retirement age is not exceeded.

Location

The position is based in Cape Coast, Central Region, Ghana.
