Job description
Overview
The Data Logger role demands technical expertise to efficiently manage and support data capture, handling, and reporting throughout the lifecycle of wellsite drilling and workover operations. The position involves daily monitoring and reporting of wellsite activities by integrating data from multiple sources such as service providers, client organizations, and real-time feeds to ensure smooth and accurate data capture utilizing specialized reporting tools. Training will be provided to enhance both technical knowledge and practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily reporting for wellsite operations, ensuring timely and accurate data capture and reporting including system configuration, data loading, quality checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting for the assets or locations involved.
- Monitor mandatory reports and data parameters, confirm consistency in report formats, units, identifiers, and acceptable value ranges; proactively identify and resolve any data discrepancies.
- Acquire in-depth understanding of the reporting software, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining logs of incidents and solutions.
- Coordinate efficient data collection efforts across various stakeholders such as service companies, clients, and real-time data providers to ensure comprehensive project coverage.
- Support onsite teams by collaborating with project groups, client representatives, and remote support units to maintain reliable software operations, assist in system upgrades, and address technical issues.
- Monitor service quality rigorously, adhere to incident escalation protocols, and promptly report potential challenges to supervisors for resolution.
- Adhere to strict data confidentiality policies and IT security standards concerning data capture, storage, transmission, and archiving activities.
- Contribute actively to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs including maintaining associated scorecards and promoting workplace safety practices.
Additional Information
Locations include Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Dehra Doon, East India, Assam, and others.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess at least a three-year Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication (E&T), Information Technology (IT), Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering or a Bachelor's degree such as IT or BCA or any equivalent or higher qualification.
- Have a minimum of 2 years professional experience within an Oil & Gas upstream or drilling environment.
- Exhibit proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
