Overview
Join Lidl Ireland as a Customer Assistant in Listowel, Co. Kerry, contributing to a seamless shopping experience from the shop floor to the head office. This role offers a €460+ weekly earning on a standard 30-hour contract while working various shifts in a dynamic retail environment.
Work Schedule and Duties
Customer Assistants operate across three primary shift patterns:
- Morning shift: Starting at 5 or 6 AM, focusing on restocking award-winning products and preparing bakery items before store opening.
- Middle shift: Beginning mid-morning or early afternoon, responsible for maintaining cleanliness, ensuring fresh and well-presented products, assisting on shop floor, and operating tills.
- Late shift: Starting in the afternoon, this shift involves delivering excellent customer service at the tills, replenishing stock, and preparing the store for the next day.
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing friendly, helpful customer interactions.
- Enforcing stock loss prevention procedures across the store.
- Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness both inside and outside the store.
- Applying stock freshness and rotation guidelines.
- Managing waste correctly.
- Supporting stock counting activities.
Candidate Profile
- Must be at least 18 years old due to the sale of alcoholic products.
- Demonstrates a positive, proactive approach to customer service.
- Reliable and responsible team player eager to excel in a fast-paced and varied retail setting.
- Previous customer-facing experience is advantageous but not mandatory if attitude is right.
Compensation and Benefits

Year 1: Basic €15.40/hr, unsocial €19.25/hr, overtime/Sundays €23.10/hr, bank holidays €30.80/hr.
Year 2: Basic €16.20/hr, unsocial €20.25/hr, overtime/Sundays €24.30/hr, bank holidays €32.40/hr.
Year 3: Basic €16.90/hr, unsocial €21.13/hr, overtime/Sundays €25.35/hr, bank holidays €33.80/hr.
Year 4: Basic €17.90/hr, unsocial €22.38/hr, overtime/Sundays €26.85/hr, bank holidays €35.80/hr.
