Role Overview
We are seeking Creative Executives to play a key role in shaping the next wave of breakout serialized drama series targeted at a global audience. This position collaborates closely with Development Executives, Story Leads, writers, and production teams to identify commercially promising concepts, refine serialized narrative structures, and support an expanding portfolio of mobile-first scripted content.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear, actionable creative feedback on narrative elements such as story structure, pacing, emotional escalation, character interactions, and episodic retention.
- Assess pitches, scripts, adaptations, and intellectual property submissions to discover compelling development opportunities and commercially viable story concepts.
- Work in close partnership with multiple stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of serialized projects, from initial concept to ongoing development.
- Identify and cultivate concepts with breakout potential in genres such as romance, fantasy, thriller, melodrama, and supernatural fiction.
- Monitor industry audience trends, genre success rates, and new storytelling platforms within vertical drama, audio fiction, web fiction, and digital content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving, high-volume creative workflow.
- Evaluate prospects for adaptation and localization tailored to U.S. audience preferences.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 or more years of relevant experience in vertical drama, serialized digital storytelling, audio fiction, television development, publishing, or related scripted creative fields.
- Have proven experience with vertical drama or other substantial serialized storytelling formats is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate robust commercial storytelling intuition and a deep understanding of audience engagement within serialized media.
- Experience in developing, writing, supervising, or contributing to commercially successful scripted projects is highly desirable.
- Exhibit strong instincts for emotionally charged genre narratives and audience-focused story hooks.
- Able to provide insightful creative guidance while balancing the need for rapid execution and respecting production constraints.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced creative settings handling multiple priorities concurrently.
- Experience with adaptation, localization, web novels, romance publishing, internationally sourced intellectual property, or emerging creative technologies is a beneficial plus.
