Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and driven Continuous Improvement Specialist to enhance operational excellence throughout the organisation. This role involves collaborating closely with various operational and functional teams to pinpoint areas for enhancement, implement lasting improvements, and foster a continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and embed continuous improvement culture across all teams.
- Detect inefficiencies, process deficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement in operations.
- Lead projects applying Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving frameworks.
- Conduct root cause analysis sessions and coordinated improvement workshops.
- Collaborate with leadership to deploy practical, sustainable solutions.
- Track progress and realize benefits from improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver continuous improvement training and capability-building sessions.
- Create learning content, process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guides.
- Maintain training records and promote awareness of Lean and operational excellence principles.
- Coach teams on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to support projects and sustain results.
- Create and update process maps, SOPs, and work instructions to ensure standardisation.
- Assist automation, digitalisation, robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-driven efficiency projects through collaboration with technology and operational teams.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Essential Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- At least five years' experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or process improvement roles.
- Proficiency in process mapping, documentation, and SOP development.
- Experience facilitating workshops and effectively engaging stakeholders at multiple organisational levels.
- Logistics, shipping, supply chain, warehouse or transport industry experience advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Flexibility to travel when needed.
