Content & Social Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a Content and Social Lead to oversee organic growth initiatives from start to finish, including thought leadership, social media channels, newsletter, and video content. Your focus will be to develop a consistent and scalable content machine that drives brand awareness, website traffic, and user signups.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all organic content efforts associated with Hercules
• Oversee multi-channel strategy across X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Newsletter, and Blog
• Create and execute thought leadership material alongside product and feature launch content
• Lead strategy development, content calendar planning, content distribution, and continuous improvement
• Recruit and manage external contractors such as writers, editors, designers, and creators; provide clear briefs; maintain high standards of quality and timely delivery
• Direct video production vendors for promotional and customer testimonial videos, including scripting, review, and final delivery
• Repurpose content assets effectively into multiple formats such as threads, clips, social posts, email campaigns, and blog articles ensuring quality control

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated success growing organic social engagement for product-related businesses, preferably in developer tools, SaaS, or prosumer markets
• Exceptional editorial skills with a strong command over hooks, clarity, voice, and pacing in writing
• Proficient in guiding short-form video projects encompassing scripting and creator collaboration
• Experience building and managing content production systems, including briefing, quality assurance, workflow management, and vendor coordination
• Analytical mindset comfortable interpreting content analytics to understand performance drivers and adjust strategy accordingly
• Expertise in applying AI tools and workflows for content ideation, drafting, editing, repurposing, and analysis

Work Environment and Location

The Hercules founding team operates from offices in San Francisco (Kearny and Bush). While there is a strong preference for on-site presence, extraordinary candidates based in U.S. time zones who can regularly commute to the office are considered for remote work.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $130,000 to $250,000 depending on experience, equity, and location, with additional equity options.
