Role Overview
Our client, a leading global sports and entertainment organization expanding rapidly in the Asia Pacific region, has established a new office in Singapore and is seeking a Content Protection Manager on a 12-month contract basis. This position specializes in online anti-piracy enforcement and is crucial to safeguarding the organization's broadcast and intellectual property rights throughout the APAC region.
Responsibilities
- Identify and investigate illegal streaming services infringing on the company’s intellectual property both within Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region.
- Locate, verify, and coordinate the removal of unauthorized content through third-party vendors or directly via platform tools.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on deliverables from external anti-piracy vendors and escalate issues when necessary.
- Compile research and create comprehensive reports on enforcement activities and the broader online piracy environment to support strategic decision-making.
- Communicate findings and updates effectively to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in content protection or anti-piracy roles, preferably with exposure to live streaming.
- Strong technical understanding of streaming protocols and enforcement technologies.
- Excellent analytical abilities with competence in reviewing raw data, identifying trends, and highlighting problems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Clear and confident communicator capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker focused on optimizing processes and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in investigative work.
- Experience with platform takedown tools such as YouTube Content ID or Meta Rights Manager.
- Familiarity with engaging web hosts and server providers.
- Previous experience within media, digital, or sports sectors.
- Genuine interest in football.
