Role Overview
As a Commercial Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will contribute to our Centres of Excellence for Sales Development, supporting cutting-edge cloud software technologies. Working within a dynamic, collaborative team, your task will be to attract and qualify prospective clients evaluating OpenText offerings. This role demands proficiency in outbound methods such as cold calling, cold emailing, and social media engagement, alongside a solid grasp of B2B lead generation and business growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Commercial Solution Sales Executives to devise and execute territory strategies targeting enterprise clients with revenue exceeding $1 billion.
- Identify and engage new market opportunities, converting prospects into sales-qualified leads to foster pipeline growth and revenue.
- Support the sales funnel by working closely with sales and consulting teams to advance early-stage deals.
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities including cold outreach via phone, email, and social platforms targeting enterprise customers.
- Follow up on inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, qualifying opportunities and understanding client requirements to pass on to sales executives.
- Maintain client relationships through consistent outreach, leveraging Salesforce and research tools to track and manage data accurately.
- Ensure all prospecting and lead qualification adhere to established criteria and processes, providing regular updates on pipeline progress.
