Job Summary

The Clinical Program Pharmacist will join an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, data scientists, and engineers to support the development and maintenance of Arine’s medication management platform. This role involves ensuring high clinical quality of product content, aiding clinical program design, assisting clients and providers as a product expert, and influencing direct patient care through cutting-edge medication insights. The pharmacist reports to Clinical Program Pharmacist Leads and the VP of Clinical Programs and supports patient care functions and program advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the platform expert, responding to inquiries from providers, users, and internal teams.
Assess and prioritize software bugs and issues based on urgency.
Enhance clinical algorithms, operational workflows, and performance indicators reflecting updated guidelines and quality measures.
Effectively communicate complex clinical issues and collaborate with stakeholders including engineering, product teams, and clients.
Design intervention strategies aimed at improving medication use and achieving clinical quality targets.
Conduct user acceptance testing for clinical outputs and help prepare customer demos.
Contribute to clinical content testing and platform enhancements.
Adhere to company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
Active and good standing license from a Board of Pharmacy.
Completion of PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience.
Strong expertise evaluating medication appropriateness relative to patients' age and disease conditions.
Knowledge of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, COPD, asthma, cardiovascular disorders, psychiatric conditions, and renal failure.
Understanding of how patient factors like age, sex, comorbidities, and other therapies affect drug efficacy and safety.
Awareness of relevant local, state, and federal pharmaceutical regulations.
Ability to interpret clinical guidelines and translate them into programmatic solutions.
Familiarity with prescription and OTC medications, including their indications, mechanisms, dosing, contraindications, and side effects.
Willingness to learn emerging skills and adapt.
Competence in working within technical environments managing structured data via tools like SQL and Excel, including interpreting pseudocode and applying logical reasoning.
Capable of extended computer work with effective keyboarding skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
Good independent judgment and decision-making skills to meet deadlines.
Team player who builds consensus and fosters collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

Board certification in a relevant pharmacy specialty.
Experience with pharmacy technologies and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Familiarity with quality measurement frameworks such as CMS, PQA, or HEDIS.
Background in reviewing pharmacy, demographic, or medical claims data.
Working knowledge of drug databases and data management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Experience with data formats like HTML, JSON, or FHIR.
Ability to interpret health plan formularies.

Availability for occasional on-site meetings, including during interviews, onboarding, and periodic team gatherings.

Compensation and Benefits

Arine provides substantial opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with multidisciplinary experts in clinical care and technology. The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $140,000 annually, with final compensation reflecting experience level, job grade, and location.
