About the Role
FedEx is offering an exciting opportunity to join its Customs Clearance team as a Clearance Broker based in Sofia, Bulgaria. As part of the world's largest express transportation company, you will play a critical role in ensuring shipments comply with customer and regulatory requirements and help maintain smooth customs clearance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze shipment data to identify customer needs and meet all regulatory compliance by verifying documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare legally compliant clearance declarations utilizing internal company systems.
- Communicate with customers and government authorities to resolve any uncertainties related to shipments.
- Address routine customer and customs-related disputes efficiently.
- Develop strong customer relationships and guide them to choose appropriate clearance services.
- Operate effectively within demanding deadlines in a dynamic office environment.
Candidate Profile
- Strong teamwork abilities with previous experience contributing in a bustling office setting.
- Knowledge or experience in customs clearance processes including Import/Export rules, CHIEF entries, and commercial flight procedures is preferred.
- Customer service oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and capable of making accurate numerical decisions under time pressure.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer use.
