Role overview

Binx Professional Cleaning is hiring a cleaner for a permanent, full-time onsite role in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. The position is carried out in English and involves scheduled work of 10 to 44 hours per week.

Work environment

This role is based in office buildings, commercial buildings, and within a cleaning service company setting.

Key duties

• Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing them.
• Remove dust from furniture and similar surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furnishings.
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Collect debris and dispose of waste from trash containers.
• Carry out general housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings as needed.
• Clean locker/changing rooms and shower areas.

Certification and screening

A Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate is required. Applicants must be bondable, able to pass a criminal record check, and provide references.

Transportation requirements

Candidates need their own transportation and vehicle, plus a valid driver’s licence. Public transit is not available for this position.

Working conditions

The work requires the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment while meeting tight deadlines and handling pressure. The job includes repetitive tasks, heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and a physically demanding pace. Duties may involve sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, with lifting of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
