Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Insurance Expert specializing in Claims and Operations to engage in a freelance, remote, and long-term capacity. This role offers competitive hourly compensation and requires consistent weekly hours.
Key Duties
- Convert practical insurance workflows into clearly defined tasks for AI processing systems.
- Assess AI-produced results to confirm accuracy, reasoning soundness, and alignment with insurance domain standards.
- Participate in diverse use cases such as claims evaluations, underwriting reviews, policy administration, and risk assessments.
- Examine data from claims, policy files, and risk documentation to highlight patterns, risks, and potential improvements.
- Maintain thorough records of underlying assumptions, decision-making processes, and justifications.
- Offer constructive critique to enhance AI performance and output quality.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive background in Insurance Operations, including Claims Management, Underwriting, or Risk Analysis.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least three areas among claims adjudication, underwriting, policy administration, subrogation, and risk analysis.
- Between 5 and 10 years of relevant professional experience, with flexibility for exceptionally qualified individuals.
- Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
- High attention to detail combined with excellent communication skills.
Work Environment and Expectations
- This position primarily involves asynchronous work, offering flexible scheduling options.
- Minimal mandatory meetings, generally limited to optional office hours once or twice per week.
- Daily collaboration conducted via Slack and proprietary internal tools.
- Candidates should consistently engage and communicate progress proactively.
Additional Information
The compensation range is $100 to $125 per hour (USD). A minimum weekly commitment of 10 hours is required, with 20 hours per week preferred. Immediate start with expedited onboarding, typically within 24 hours.
