About the Role

Zaxbys is seeking dedicated Cashiers to join their team in Athens, GA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the initial point of contact for guests by providing friendly and efficient service. Cashiers will take orders, process payments, maintain cleanliness in guest areas, and uphold operating standards with urgency and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete required training modules, including front-of-house development and hands-on station training.
• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure while maintaining awareness of current promotions.
• Explain menu options, answer customer questions, and recommend additional items to enhance guest experience.
• Accurately enter orders and process transactions using the point of sale system.
• Manage cash handling duties including accepting payments, counting tills, and recording total sales.
• Keep dining rooms, counters, bathrooms, and exterior areas clean and welcoming.
• Stock necessary supplies such as condiments, paper goods, serveware, and beverages.
• Maintain equipment and promptly report any maintenance needs.
• Prepare food menu items and beverages safely and hygienically according to company standards.
• Assist kitchen and back-of-house operations as needed.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and complete tasks efficiently and safely.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Full-time availability is between 32 to 40 hours weekly.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk continuously during shifts.
• Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, climbing stairs or ladders.
• Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
• Manual dexterity for handling cash and equipment safely.
• Effective communication skills including speech, reading, and writing.
• Ability to perceive and respond to environmental cues and safety concerns.
• Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions with potential exposure to allergens and kitchen hazards.
