We are currently seeking career changers for the position of Specialist in Construction Site Safety (m/f/d) for DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH at multiple locations including Ahrensburg, Altenholz, Ascheberg (Holstein), Aumühle, Bad Bramstedt, Bad Oldesloe, Bad Schwartau, Bad Segeberg, Bargfeld-Stegen, Bargstedt, Bargteheide, Barkenholm, Barmstedt, Barsbüttel, Bönningstedt, Boostedt, Bordesholm, Brodersdorf, Burg (Dithmarschen), Ellerbek, Elmshorn, Eutin, Flintbek, Friedrichsholm, Geesthacht, Glückstadt, Großenaspe, Halstenbek, Heiligenhafen, Henstedt-Ulzburg, Hohenlockstedt, Hohenwestedt, Itzehoe, Kaltenkirchen, Kiel, and Neumünster.
Retraining Program
- The retraining lasts approximately one year, during which you systematically acquire the necessary skills.
- The program alternates theoretical lessons with practical exercises to provide hands-on experience.
- Experienced colleagues will guide you to facilitate your entry into this new profession.
- Theoretical classes are held as close as possible to your residence, while practical assignments typically occur within your future work area.
- You will receive a secure salary from the outset.
Key Responsibilities After Retraining
- Ensuring safety at railway track construction sites as part of a team.
- Utilizing various signals and modern warning systems to alert personnel working near tracks of approaching trains.
- Implementing safety regulations and instructing new safety personnel.
- Coordinating with multiple contacts to maintain smooth operations.
- Managing and supervising safety measures on construction sites independently.
Candidate Profile
- You are at least 18 years old with a minimum secondary school qualification (Hauptschulabschluss).
- No prior specific experience is necessary; reliability and commitment to safety are essential.
- You enjoy working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- You possess confident written and spoken German communication skills.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and changing locations is required.
- Holding a class B driver's license and having access to a vehicle is preferable but not mandatory.
