Job description
About the Role
As a Business Development Specialist at XFactor Finance, you will be responsible for leading proactive outbound sales activities for our Accounting-As-a-Service and Finance-as-a-Service offerings. Your focus will be identifying and engaging accounting firms, bookkeeping agencies, fiduciary/administrative offices, and finance-centric small to medium-sized enterprises across the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, and the UK. You are expected to initiate conversations with potential partners and financial leaders and set up qualified introductory meetings with our European collaborators.
You will not be expected to close deals independently or act as a technical accountant; instead, your role is to consistently create a high-quality sales pipeline, confidently discuss outsourced finance solutions, and maintain a disciplined approach to client relationship management (CRM).
Key Responsibilities
- Build and regularly update targeted prospect databases including accounting firms, fiduciary companies, and SMEs within the designated European regions using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Apollo.io.
- Execute multi-channel outbound strategies including cold email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and telephone calls aligned with European business hours.
- Handle inbound inquiries and opportunities from marketplace platforms like Clutch and Upwork by responding to briefs, composing proposals, and converting leads into scheduled calls.
- Meet monthly targets related to booking qualified meetings and generating pipeline value.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand the potential clients' finance team structures, transaction volumes, existing software environments, capacity challenges, closing timelines, and workforce turnover.
- Qualify opportunities to ensure alignment with our service capabilities and commercial conditions before forwarding them to partners.
- Prepare detailed briefing notes to equip European partners with full context prior to client meetings.
- Assist in proposal and pricing development in conjunction with the delivery team and track follow-up activities until client decisions are reached.
- Monitor competitor activities within the European finance outsourcing landscape and relay strategic insights to leadership.
- Stay informed about local market trends including regulatory schedules, peak business seasons, and staffing shortages in accountancy to optimize outreach timing.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date CRM records (HubSpot or Zoho), logging all contacts, activities, sales stages, and next steps.
- Provide weekly reports on sales activities, conversion metrics, and pipeline changes.
- Continuously test and optimize messaging, outreach sequences, and segmentation based on response analytics.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Between two and five years of experience in B2B business development or inside sales with proven outbound sales results.
- Direct experience marketing accounting, bookkeeping, or finance outsourcing services to international markets, which is the key qualification.
- Demonstrable success in acquiring international clients, preferably covering regions such as the US, UK, Australia, Canada, UAE, or Europe.
- Hands-on proficiency with outbound sales tools including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, email sequencing platforms, and CRM systems such as HubSpot, Zoho, LeadSquared, or Salesforce.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English as frequent communication with European partners and financial directors is expected.
- Ability to work during European business hours and manage communication across different cultures and time zones effectively.
