Business Analyst – Fixed Income

About the Role

Enterprise Solutions Inc. is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with extensive knowledge in Fixed Income and Capital Markets to join their Mississauga, Ontario location. This permanent position plays a crucial role in supporting front-to-back trading operations, trade processing, and risk management initiatives in a global banking setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and design business analysis solutions focused on Fixed Income instruments such as Bonds, Derivatives, and Exotic products.
• Work collaboratively with Traders, Sales, Managers, and Technology stakeholders to gather detailed business needs and convert them into functional specifications.
• Have in-depth understanding of the complete trading lifecycle, including deal capture, validation, downstream processing, profit and loss calculation, risk management, and settlements.
• Drive strategic projects tied to Trade Processing, Risk Management, and Front Office platform enhancements.
• Conduct thorough business process reviews, gap analyses, and impact assessments to support medium to large initiatives.
• Partner closely with development and quality assurance teams throughout the software lifecycle, aiding in functional testing, UAT, implementation, and production validation.
• Identify and mitigate business and system risks, providing clear impact assessments.
• Analyze trade flows, pricing, and risk metrics using strong quantitative abilities, including manually calculating P&L scenarios and explaining related risk concepts.
• Mentor junior analysts and support international cross-functional teams operating in multiple time zones.
• Ensure alignment of business goals with regulatory compliance and technology solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• 6 to 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst specifically within Capital Markets.
• Expert domain knowledge in Fixed Income and Derivatives from a Front Office viewpoint.
• Hands-on experience with Trade Processing and Risk Management systems.
• Expertise in Capital Markets workflows and trading operations.
• Strong familiarity with Fixed Income products, Bonds, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Products, Money Market Instruments, and Exotic Products.
• Proficient in quantitative analysis with ability to calculate P&L manually and interpret risk metrics.
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration capabilities.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale projects and working within global distributed teams.
• Preferred background includes investment banking experience, exposure to Front Office trading systems, knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, and regulatory compliance within Capital Markets.
