Key Duties
- Supervise truck movements to ensure seamless clearance at the Nakonde border post.
- Receive and check customs documentation before submission to customs officers or clearing agents.
- Produce daily tracking reports for operations and clearing teams to prevent delays.
- Verify quality and proper organization of documents exchanged at the border and brief drivers accordingly.
- Maintain driver discipline and ensure adherence to uniform requirements while at the border.
- Enforce safety standards consistently within the border environment.
- Liaise closely with reporting lines to provide daily updates on border status.
- Utilize Alistair's systems to accurately document and record updates.
- Lead, manage, and mentor subordinate staff members.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Logistics, Clearing, and Forwarding or related field.
- Highly self-driven with a keen eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Motivated to contribute to the development of a growing enterprise.
- Strong communication and administrative capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Culturally sensitive and aware.
