Role Overview
This position requires an experienced Structural BIM Modeller proficient in Revit, with a strong track record in BIM modelling spanning 6 to 8 years. The candidate will be responsible for creating structural BIM models from the ground up, adhering rigorously to BIM standards, and generating detailed GFC drawings from these models. Expertise in managing high-level BIM models at LOD 400 is essential, alongside practical skills in quantity estimation and model verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct comprehensive structural BIM models independently using Revit.
- Follow and implement BIM standards accurately throughout the modelling process.
- Extract accurate GFC (Good For Construction) drawings based on the BIM models developed.
- Utilize BIM modelling up to LOD 400 level, ensuring detailed and constructible outputs.
- Conduct quantity estimation through BIM tools effectively.
- Review BIM models meticulously to detect and rectify errors.
- Perform clash detection and resolution exercises using Navisworks software.
- Provide training and guidance to team members and junior modellers on BIM modelling practices.
- Maintain good communication, both verbal and written, to facilitate smooth coordination.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of site construction activities to inform model development.
- Adopt an innovative approach to explore new opportunities and improvements within the BIM domain.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience specifically in BIM modelling, focused on structural aspects.
- Proficient with structural Revit software application and BIM standards compliance.
- Experienced in generating GFC drawings from BIM models with accuracy.
- Hands-on experience in working with BIM models at Level of Development (LOD) 400.
- Skilled in quantity estimation practices using BIM methodologies.
- Capable of performing clash detection and coordinating resolutions using Navisworks.
- Strong practical familiarity with construction site procedures and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, critical for team collaboration.
