Job Overview

The Base Operations Executive is responsible for managing everyday base operations with an emphasis on security, ensuring efficient and safe handling of equipment and personnel. Coordinating with internal departments and external vendors, you will facilitate the smooth receipt, storage, packaging, transportation, and distribution of products, all while upholding stringent safety, security, and compliance standards. Contribution to the continuous improvement of the organization's quality, safety, and environmental management systems is an integral part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the receiving, inspection, and forwarding of items in the warehouse and outdoor storage yard.
• Monitor incoming product quality and quantity, informing buyers promptly of any discrepancies.
• Ensure products are stored safely and appropriately at designated locations.
• Maintain accurate records of received and dispatched products using Yellowstar, InforLN, and other systems, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared on time.
• Oversee PPE inventory levels and report inconsistencies to the Base Operations Manager.
• Guarantee that all goods are packed and handled safely according to agreed standards during loading, unloading, and dispatch.
• Develop and enforce security policies to protect the base, vessels, and personnel.
• Manage upkeep and repairs of yard and warehouse facilities.
• Coordinate logistics for regional projects and vessels.
• Ensure timely renewal of statutory certificates for equipment and facilities.
• Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and manage waste programs effectively.
• Serve as the main liaison for tenants, oversee company drivers, fill in as a driver when needed, assist in procurement processes, and remain informed on industry best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines; certifications in security management or sustainability are advantageous.
• Possession of a Class 3 driver’s license and forklift license.
• At least 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in yard, warehouse, and logistics operations.
• Strong expertise in logistics, inventory control, transport planning, and security procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership capabilities to motivate and guide team members.
• Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills, with competency in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools; highly detail-oriented and accountable.
