Role Overview

The Bartender plays a crucial part in enhancing guests' experiences by preparing and serving beverages with precision and care, ensuring the bar environment is inviting, and supporting seamless daily operations. This role involves managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, engaging positively with guests, and contributing to special events, all reflecting the resort's core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft cocktails, mocktails, wines, and specialty drinks following standard recipes and tailoring to guest preferences.
• Maintain exemplary presentation quality for all served beverages.
• Promote premium brands and signature drinks to enrich guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
• Offer beverage recommendations informed by guest tastes and thorough menu knowledge.
• Warmly greet guests and sustain a friendly, accessible presence at the bar.
• Manage guest interactions skillfully during peak service times.
• Anticipate and promptly address guest needs to ensure memorable experiences.
• Professionally handle and escalate guest concerns or complaints as needed.
• Prepare the bar for service by ensuring all garnishes, glassware, mixers, spirits, and linens are ready and stocked.
• Keep the bar area tidy and organized, including counters, shelves, and equipment.
• Track and coordinate stock replenishment in consultation with the Bar Manager.
• Undertake closing responsibilities such as cleaning, restocking, and inventory checks.
• Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
• Comply with all legal alcohol service regulations and responsible service guidelines.
• Use and maintain bar equipment properly to ensure safety and functionality.
• Handle cash accurately and follow Point of Sale (POS) procedures meticulously.
• Collaborate closely with service and kitchen teams for smooth restaurant operations.
• Participate actively in pre-shift meetings and training sessions.
• Support and contribute to special occasions, promotions, themed nights, and resort activities.
• Assist colleagues during busy periods to maintain service quality.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring 1 to 2 years of experience in bartending within a high-end 5-star hotel or resort setting. Proficiency in beverage preparation, mixology skills, and bar service excellence are essential. Personal presentation should be exemplary, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities enabling confident interaction with an international and discerning clientele. Being a team-oriented individual committed to outstanding guest service and fostering a lively and welcoming atmosphere is a must. Fluency in English is required, with additional languages considered beneficial.
