Position Overview

Join SSP Canada as a Baker at Tim Hortons located in Victoria International Airport, Sidney, BC. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies following approved recipes and production schedules to meet daily demands.

Key Duties

• Prepare baked items such as breads, pies, cakes, and cookies according to standardized recipes and production plans.
• Maintain proper food quality, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Complete production documentation including waste logs, ingredient tracking, and product shortages; report low supply levels to supervisors.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and supplies.
• Maintain efficient workflow during peak production and service periods whilst providing accurate and calm service.
• Manage stock requisitioning and proper rotation and storage of all food and paper products.
• Follow daily preparation sheets and maintain the kitchen/station setup for service readiness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least six months of experience in a food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English for guest interaction and order taking.
• Customer service experience to handle issues appropriately.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods in confined spaces.

• Hourly wage of $22.35 plus participation in a tip pool.
