AWS Data Engineer

Role Summary and Responsibilities

• Work extensively with AWS cloud services including AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis, Iceberg, and Athena.
• Design and develop data engineering solutions involving ETL and ELT pipelines, data modeling, and data warehouse implementations.
• Handle both structured and unstructured data within data lakes and data warehouse environments utilizing big data frameworks such as Apache Hadoop and Spark.
• Develop and maintain code using Python, PySpark, and SQL to transform and process data efficiently within data pipelines.
• Apply best practices for cloud architecture to ensure high availability and fault tolerance across systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of professional experience in data engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in AWS data engineering ecosystem and cloud architecture.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and big data processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop and Spark.
