Job description
Role Purpose
The Auditor / Trainer is tasked with making informed decisions about the audit process and coordinating with Bureau Veritas Certification to resolve issues that fall outside the normal auditing procedures. This role operates under the guidelines of Bureau Veritas' Quality Assurance System, adhering to the company's Code of Ethics and global policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and finalize auditing and training duties efficiently.
- Hold authority to give recommendations and assess client compliance levels based on audit findings.
- Make decisions regarding proceeding with audits influenced by site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements on client sites and within the office, bearing accountability for any violations.
- Oversee on-site audit activities including preparation, supervision, and performance management of audit teams.
- Lead Bureau Veritas Certification Audits, making decisions essential for initial certification, ongoing certification, and recertification.
- Maintain active communication with clients to understand their needs and foster successful outcomes.
- Build trust and maintain open dialogue with clients to enhance partnership and service delivery.
Performance Metrics
- Submission of audit plans and reports within agreed timelines.
- The accuracy and volume of non-conformities reported.
- Minimization of rejections from the Inspection and Certification Committee (ICC).
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation with at least five years of practical experience; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- Previous experience in critical industries such as Oil & Gas or Power sectors.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient command of English, both oral and written.
- Certification as a Lead Auditor relevant to the discipline.
- Understanding of management systems and audit preparation processes, with knowledge of local rules related to each certification scheme.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and Bureau Veritas auditing methodologies.
- Awareness of local statutory regulations impacting audits.
