Position Overview
The Centre de services scolaire des Navigateurs is inviting candidates to apply for the role of assistant principal at Pamphile-Le May Secondary School, located in Sainte-Croix. This is a full-time, permanent position starting on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Role Description
The assistant principal supports the school principal as assigned, contributing to the pedagogical, educational, and administrative management of the school.
Primary Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the educational project.
- Assist or collaborate in creating proposals on topics such as implementation methods of the pedagogical framework, curricula, intervention plans for students with disabilities or learning difficulties, selection of textbooks and educational materials, complementary and specialized services, use of non-teaching time and schedules, conduct rules, and student services.
- Coordinate, supervise, or participate in activities, programs, or services in various school sectors, including human resources, material or financial resources, information and communication technologies, daycare, and lunch services.
- Assume any other responsibilities compatible with the role as delegated by the immediate supervisor.
- Act as principal substitute during the principal's short-term absences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education sciences or a first-cycle university degree in a relevant study field with a minimum three-year university program, or current employment as a non-managerial or managerial staff member (excluding manager positions) in a service center.
- Master's degree in school management or a relevant second-cycle university program related to school leadership, including at least 30 credits in management, or willingness to pursue such education.
- At least two years of relevant teaching or non-teaching professional experience.
- Permanent teaching authorization issued by the Ministry.
