About the Role

The Assistant Manager - Finance position involves overseeing daily accounting functions such as general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role requires preparing comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis while supporting activities related to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and statutory regulations is critical.

The candidate will handle statutory filings including GST, TDS, PF, and ESI and collaborate effectively with auditors, tax consultants, and internal teams. Monitoring cash flows, working capital, and costs per project are key duties, along with assisting in the preparation of management information system reports and dashboards. The role also contributes to internal audits, process enhancements, and ensures meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), MBA in Finance, or Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree
Five to eight years of pertinent experience in finance and accounting
Prior work experience in consulting, infrastructure, EPC, or project-centric companies is favored

Skills & Competencies

In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance frameworks
Proficient with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem resolution capabilities
Ability to operate autonomously and adhere to deadlines
Excellent communication skills and capability to coordinate with various stakeholders
