Assistant Director / Senior Manager - Manpower Policy

About the Role

We are looking for a driven Assistant Director/Senior Manager to join the Planning, Strategy & Data Team within Human Capital. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping manpower policies aligned with advancements in technology and media.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and periodically revise manpower policies to reflect the latest trends in technology and media sectors.
• Undertake detailed policy research and data analysis, assessing emerging technology and media developments to guide manpower policy decisions.
• Craft comprehensive reports and presentations tailored for senior management, government leaders, and Ministers.
• Manage the consistent and timely execution of manpower policies and related operations.
• Collaborate closely with multiple government agencies to ensure unified strategic objectives.
• Lead, mentor and cultivate a team of policy officers who contribute effectively towards cluster goals.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, ideally in policy formulation within the Singapore Government or similar environment.
• Strong analytical aptitude with the skill to decipher complex datasets and extract crucial insights.
• Exceptional communication skills for both written and verbal exchanges, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and convincingly to senior officials and Ministers.
• Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Resilient and adaptable to thrive under fast-paced conditions.
• Familiarity with government organizational structures and policy-making processes is beneficial.
