Job description
Position Overview
We are collaborating with a rapidly growing global financial institution in Singapore that seeks an experienced APAC Investor Relations professional fluent in Japanese. The role is ideal for a client-focused individual with 5 to 8 years of experience thriving within fast-paced environments, interfacing with investors, financial advisors, fund sponsors, administrators, and internal partners.
Primary Duties
- Deliver premium investor and advisor services during onboarding, subscription processes, capital activities, and ongoing account management.
- Coach financial advisors and high-net-worth investors through subscription and AML/KYC protocols, ensuring precise, complete, and compliant documentation.
- Act as the key contact with fund administrators daily to resolve matters relating to subscriptions, capital calls, redemptions, transfers, reporting, cash reconciliations, and investor records.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Product, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and Client Solutions to guarantee smooth service execution and accurate client communication.
- Aid business development by participating in client meetings, RFP discussions, onboarding workshops, and pitches when necessary.
- Showcase platform capabilities and workflows to prospective clients and partners during sales and onboarding activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Between 5 and 8 years' experience in Investor Relations, Investor Services, Fund Operations, Client Services, Transfer Agency, or Alternative Investments.
- Exceptional fluency in Japanese (native or business level, JLPT N1 or equivalent) and strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, or alternative investment products is highly advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Capable of independent work while effectively cooperating with global teams.
- Proven experience applying AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, workflow automation software) to enhance productivity and client servicing.
