Job Overview

As an Airport Emergency Officer (Specialist), your primary objective is to save lives and reduce property damage during emergencies at the airport. Armed with specialized aviation firefighting expertise, you will be an integral member of a dedicated team responsible for executing rescue and firefighting efforts in critical situations. Your duties include maintaining the firefighting unit’s operational readiness, managing advanced firefighting vehicles and vessels, and operating specialized equipment.

Training and Development

You will undergo an intensive 3-month Basic Airport Firefighter training program that teaches fundamental firefighting concepts and skills necessary for responding to aircraft emergencies, aligning with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. This will be succeeded by a 1-month Airport Fire Officer course designed to boost your leadership abilities in directing small team tactics.

Work Assignments

Post-training, you will be stationed at an airport fire station to apply your firefighting skills and accumulate practical experience. Your role may require rotations between various airport fire stations and military airbases to broaden your operational exposure and expertise.
