AI & Data Science Internship (f/m/x)

About the role

This opportunity sits within a company working to accelerate the energy transition through integrated solutions for decentralized energy. The broader platform combines solar systems, battery storage, wall boxes, smart meters, and heat pumps, with an AI-driven system that connects many installations and helps optimize electricity procurement and feed-in on the energy market.

You will contribute to work that aims to improve quality of life for households while supporting cleaner electricity and long-term change in how energy is used.

What you will do

• Support AI initiatives throughout the full development cycle, from initial idea to production.
• Help assess and refine new AI opportunities and use cases.
• Work on data engineering and data analysis tasks.
• Build prototypes and improve models as well as prompts.
• Evaluate machine learning models and large language models.
• Assist with deployment, rollout, and ongoing monitoring of AI systems in production.

Your profile

• You are enrolled in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a similar field.
• You already have some practical exposure from internships, working student positions, or personal projects in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• You have experience in at least one of these areas: Large Language Models, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Statistics.
• You are proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with APIs, cloud platforms, databases, or MLOps tools would be an advantage.
• You communicate fluently in English.
• German fluency is a strong plus.
