Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the Role

Join AutoScout24 Group in Munich and become an essential part of our dedicated finance team. As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining precise and efficient accounts receivable operations, involving customer invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations. You will collaborate closely with teams from Sales, Customer Care, and Billing to ensure a seamless experience for customers and robust financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and allocate incoming payments from customers accurately.
• Generate and post customer invoices, credit notes, and necessary invoice adjustments.
• Reconcile accounts, investigating and resolving any accounting discrepancies.
• Work jointly with internal departments to resolve open items and payment allocation challenges.
• Support financial closing activities at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
• Prepare detailed reconciliations and financial reports for the finance department.
• Drive continuous enhancement of accounts receivable processes and finance transformation projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Several years’ experience in accounts receivable or similar finance functions.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (such as Workday), CRM platforms (Salesforce), and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a dynamic, international environment independently.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a team-oriented approach.
• Fluent in both German and English languages.
