The Organic Farm represents the agricultural division of Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG), a diverse investment family office headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Situated in Al Ain, the farm undertakes sustainable organic agriculture initiatives and operates as a key business entity within ADCG's expanding portfolio.

Job Purpose

The Accountant will oversee all financial aspects related to The Organic Farm, including maintaining accounting records, budgeting, financial reporting, monitoring costs, procurement-related financial activities, and ensuring compliance. This role plays a vital part in tracking farm expenses and operational costs while providing support for financial planning, working alongside ADCG Group Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain precise accounting records adhering to group standards.
• Record daily financial transactions promptly and accurately.
• Prepare journal entries, close month-end accounts, and reconcile statements.
• Handle supplier invoicing and payments as per agreed terms.
• Track receivables and pursue timely collections.
• Keep vendor and customer accounts current.
• Compare spending against budgets, highlighting discrepancies.
• Monitor and analyze farm-related costs such as feed, fertilizers, utilities, equipment maintenance, and labor.
• Compile financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for management and group finance.
• Provide cost and profit analysis related to farm operations.
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Validate purchase requests, quotations, and ensure budget availability and compliance before commitments.
• Oversee procurement spending to remain within budget.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll inputs, confirming overtime and allowances before payroll processing.
• Support audit activities and ensure VAT compliance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized financial documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Preferable experience in agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, or operational environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently in a farm operational context.
