Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to spearhead Forage's entry into online EBT payment processing. This crucial role involves generating leads through outbound outreach, managing full sales cycles including commercial and contract negotiations, and expanding Forage’s presence in the retail market.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline targeting grocery stores, dollar stores, and convenience stores, using outbound prospecting, warm introductions, and collaboration with the Business Development Lead.
- Manage the entire sales process from initiation to closing, driving urgency and efficiency throughout.
- Develop pitch materials, commercial proposals, and sales forecasts in partnership with BD leadership.
- Analyze and report on pipeline performance metrics alongside BD leadership.
- Work closely with Merchant Operations, Strategic Partnerships, Product, and Engineering teams to onboard and grow client accounts, and to influence product development with prospect insights.
- Lead negotiations involving pricing and commercial contracts with merchants.
- Adapt to tight deadlines and multiple priorities under pressure.
- Travel periodically to meet clients at trade shows or on-site to establish strong personal connections.
Candidate Qualifications
- Experience in sales, partnerships, or growth roles within e-commerce, grocery retail, consulting, payments/fintech, or B2B contexts, with demonstrated ability to engage C-level executives.
- Proven track record of successfully selling complex technology solutions to senior decision-makers and navigating multi-layered organizational structures.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Skilled project manager with the capacity to handle multiple deal pipelines effectively while maintaining urgency.
Compensation and Benefits
- The anticipated total on-target earnings (base salary plus commission) range from $175,000 to $210,000 annually, depending on experience and work location.
