Its products are now carried by major retailers including Whole Foods Market, Target, Walmart, Kroger, and Safeway/Albertson, and the company is continuing to grow.

Role overview

This is a highly analytical position reporting to the Director of Logistics and Fulfillment. The role is responsible for the data supporting the 3PL and warehouse network. The ideal candidate is technically strong, advanced in Excel, and enthusiastic about data analysis. The job involves automating reviews of 3PL spend, reconciling systems, and converting complex invoices and volume reports into clear, defensible outputs. The work is cross-functional, involving operations and finance, and requires comfort operating with limited supervision in a fast-moving, high-volume setting.

Financial and cost analysis

Automate audits of 3PL invoices by comparing them with rate cards and actual activity, and identify issues such as incorrect storage charges, duplicate pick-and-pack fees, and wrong freight surcharges.
Monitor warehouse and logistics spending, assess rate-per-case and rate-per-pallet metrics by site, and review DTC, retail, and club freight rates as well as lane performance to help reduce inbound and outbound transportation costs.
Review inventory age and turnover to pinpoint slow-moving stock that is increasing storage expenses.

Inventory and systems reconciliation

Match data between ERP and WMS systems, watch EDI/API feeds, and verify that inventory balances, ASNs, and POs are syncing correctly while investigating any recurring data issues.
Reconcile inbound receipts to purchase orders, resolve variances, and work directly with 3PL facilities on cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
Support internal transfers and confirm inventory is placed in the correct location.

Performance management and reporting

Track key KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, on-time delivery, and inventory shrinkage to keep 3PL partners aligned with their SLAs.
Ensure inbound receiving and outbound order processing occur within agreed time windows to reduce retail chargebacks and penalties from major partners such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon.
Create automated dashboards and vendor scorecards in Excel or BI tools to report cost per unit, distribution patterns, and monthly 3PL performance for logistics leadership.

Requirements

2 to 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or 3PL analytics, preferably with direct invoice auditing exposure.
Strong technical capability with advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas, plus a strong interest in working with data.
SQL knowledge and/or familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Experience using ERP and WMS platforms; TMS experience is an added advantage.
Comfort working with EDI/API feeds and troubleshooting broader data mismatches.
Ability to investigate large, complex datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into cost and operational improvements.
Self-directed, highly detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build and present scorecards to logistics leadership.
