About Gharpayy
Gharpayy, a brand under Surge Ventures, is dedicated to providing secure and hygienic rental accommodations tailored for urban millennials. With meticulous cleanliness standards and thoughtfully designed interiors, it delivers an environment that balances work and play seamlessly. Leveraging Surge Ventures' proven expertise in large-scale digital marketing and growth campaigns, Gharpayy ensures elevated user experiences and business impact.
Role Overview
As a Growth Operator focused on launching new zones, you won't just watch growth unfold—you will directly drive its creation. Your primary responsibility is to initiate, operate, and scale emerging micro-markets by building supply networks, generating customer demand, closing bookings, and achieving commercial success for each area. This role requires strong ownership where your achievements are measured by tangible business outcomes rather than time spent.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify promising micro-markets through thorough research and field validation, mapping competitors, pricing, occupancy, and growth possibilities to devise expansion strategies for assigned zones.
- Scout, negotiate with, and onboard quality paying guest (PG) accommodation partners ensuring they meet Gharpayy's standards for pricing, quality, and customer satisfaction, thereby maintaining a healthy inventory.
- Drive demand generation through both digital and traditional marketing channels, initiating localized marketing campaigns and cultivating partnerships with colleges, companies, hostels, and referral sources.
- Manage the entire customer lifecycle from initial inquiry through property visits to booking and move-in, addressing objections, completing documentation and payments, and maximizing occupancy and revenue.
- Continuously monitor zone-specific metrics such as bookings, occupancy rates, conversion statistics, feedback, and revenue, quickly resolving issues to consistently meet business targets.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with PG partners, swiftly tackling operational challenges to enhance partner satisfaction and foster repeat business.
- Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate scalable zone expansion, document best practices, and ensure accuracy in CRM, reporting, and operational data.
- Collaborate closely with founders and leadership on strategic projects, take ownership of initiatives from concept through execution, and assist in onboarding and mentoring incoming Growth Operators.
Success Metrics
Performance will be gauged on several key metrics, including the number of PG partners onboarded, active inventory size, quantity and quality of leads generated, scheduled property visits and conversion rates, closed bookings, revenue and occupancy growth, customer happiness, partner retention, CRM accuracy, and responsiveness in execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal Growth Operator is capable of independently establishing new zones, building strong PG partner ecosystems, consistently attracting customers, closing bookings with minimal oversight, hitting occupancy and revenue targets, and creating repeatable, scalable operational processes. This role suits proactive individuals who thrive on problem-solving, ownership, deal closure, and contributing to business growth from the ground up.
