About the Role
Lafford T.C Networks is hiring a data-focused YouTube Growth & Channel Manager to help expand a channel centered on nature-inspired deep-focus and productivity music. The content is built around long-form audio-visual experiences such as forests, rainfall, and ocean waves, layered with premium ambient soundscapes for study, flow state, and deep work.
This position is geared toward someone who can improve discoverability, increase watch time, and grow a global audience of regular listeners through strong channel strategy and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve long-form video performance by optimizing for YouTube recommendations, higher retention, stronger average view duration, and better click-through rates on sessions lasting 1 to 3 hours.
- Plan and organize playlists that support continuous playback, using themes such as rainfall for coding or forest ambience for studying.
- Develop titles and thumbnails that are clean, calming, and attention-grabbing without distracting from the channel’s focus-driven aesthetic.
- Manage audience interaction through the Community tab, comment engagement, and live premiere chat to build loyalty among students, remote workers, coders, and creatives.
- Track YouTube Studio metrics such as RPM and playback geography, and look for ways to extend the brand through audio platforms or broader streaming distribution.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate understands how retention drives growth on focus-oriented channels and knows how to analyze audience drop-off using YouTube analytics. They should also have a strong sense of what creates a calming, immersive viewing experience and be able to manage a consistent publishing workflow for large, high-resolution audio and video assets.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing or growing a YouTube channel, ideally in ambient music, wellness, ASMR, lo-fi, or long-form relaxation content.
- Strong working knowledge of YouTube Studio, SEO tools such as VidIQ or TubeBuddy, and keyword grouping for high-volume search terms.
- Basic design ability using tools like Photoshop or Canva to produce minimal, high-performing thumbnails.
- Interest in productivity systems, deep work, or wellness is considered a strong advantage.
