About the Role
The Women's Area Manager at Buck Mason plays a crucial leadership role within the retail division. This position is accountable for guiding the customer experience, coaching outstanding store managers, and managing multiple retail locations. The role serves as the bridge translating the brand’s vision into tangible store operations by closely collaborating with Store Managers to boost performance, nurture teams, and ensure a consistently excellent customer experience across all stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and mentor Store Managers across several stores to build high-performing teams and foster a culture centered on accountability, growth, and ownership.
- Regularly visit each store to maintain a hands-on presence, act as the liaison between field teams and headquarters, and spot improvement opportunities.
- Drive business outcomes by managing key performance metrics such as sales growth, conversion rates, customer retention, labor efficiency, and productivity. Utilize data insights to formulate effective action plans.
- Enhance customer experience by ensuring every store delivers exceptional hospitality, thorough product knowledge, personalized client engagement, and compelling brand storytelling.
- Collaborate with Store Managers on recruitment, onboarding, retention, and talent development to assemble strong teams that exemplify Buck Mason’s values.
- Ensure consistent adherence to company standards, operational protocols, inventory control, and store expectations in all locations.
- Adapt to business requirements by offering support during regular store visits, weekends, holidays, peak sales periods, and occasional travel as needed.
Skills and Experience Required
- A minimum of two years’ experience in high volume women’s retail leadership, preferably with multi-unit management exposure.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop Store Managers and high-performing teams effectively.
- Strong business acumen, with a track record analyzing sales data, KPIs, labor management, and operational outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across organizational levels.
- Adept at recognizing opportunities, initiating action plans, and driving positive business results.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple stores, priorities, and demands simultaneously.
- Deep passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Experience in recruiting, talent nurturing, and cultivating strong team environments.
- An entrepreneurial, hands-on approach combined with the flexibility to thrive in a fast-growing retail setting.
- Availability and willingness to travel regularly between store locations and support the business during weekends, holidays, and peak retail seasons.

Compensation
Transparent compensation includes target first-year earnings ranging from $160,000 to $185,000, composed of a base salary between $100,000 and $120,000 plus an annual bonus based on a percentage of the net profit from the stores managed.
