Role overview
G4S is hiring a dependable and detail-focused Washroom Hygiene Operative for its Cheltenham location. This permanent, full-time facilities role is suited to someone who values cleanliness, safety, and consistent service delivery. The position supports government-related contracts and combines general cleaning duties with specialist washroom hygiene work.
Hours and pay
The role offers a salary of £27,628.81 per year. Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 05:00 to 13:00.
Key duties
In this position, you will help keep assigned areas clean, sanitary, and safe, while following established procedures and compliance standards. You will also manage waste handling, sanitation tasks, and flexible support work as required.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment by following the required procedures.
- Collect and dispose of general waste, sanitary waste, and nappy waste safely.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitise sanitary bins on both the inside and outside.
- Move collected waste to designated central collection locations in a safe manner.
- Follow all legal and internal rules relating to waste separation and segregation.
- Work in a way that protects your own safety and the safety of others.
- Complete mandatory training and comply with security requirements and company policies.
- Represent G4S positively when dealing with clients and contractors.
- Provide essential cleaning support during operational disruptions or emergencies.
- Offer cover for staff absences and take on additional ad hoc tasks when needed.
