Position Summary
BlueScope Distribution, a comprehensive supplier of steel and aluminum products, processing, and services, is seeking a Warehouse Team Member for their Townsville, Queensland facility. This role is integral to warehouse operations, ensuring the timely and safe dispatch of products and solutions to customers across diverse industries supporting project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually loading and unloading products from delivery trucks in a safe manner.
- Operating forklifts, gantry cranes, and processing machinery to handle materials.
- Precisely picking and packing customer orders for dispatch.
- Actively contributing to maintaining a safe working environment within the warehouse.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a current forklift license or readiness to obtain certification.
- A positive and proactive attitude with openness to career advancement.
- Attention to detail paired with fundamental computer proficiency.
- Capability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Dedication to personal safety and wellbeing as well as care for colleagues.
Work Schedule and Benefits
This is a Monday through Friday role from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with plans to transition to an afternoon shift (2 PM to 10 PM) in the future.
