Warehouse and Yard Store Person

Position Overview

The Warehouse and Yard Store Person is responsible for supporting daily operations related to warehousing, logistics, and supply chain activities. This role involves handling tasks such as receiving, storing, managing inventory, loading and unloading goods, processing freight, and dispatching materials while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Duties

• Conduct loading and unloading of cargo and materials.
• Manage receiving, storage, handling, and shipping of stock items.
• Maintain precise inventory records and perform stock control.
• Carry out cycle counts and investigate discrepancies in stock.
• Process freight documentation and coordinate transport logistics.
• Utilize warehouse management systems and enterprise resource planning software.
• Ensure adherence to warehousing, shipping, and transport regulations.
• Maintain records for hazardous and dangerous goods.
• Comply with the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and zero-harm policies diligently.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of three years' experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, transport, mining, or oil and gas sectors.
• Possession of a valid LF Forklift Licence.
• Hold a C Class Driver's Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in inventory control and stock management.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems, particularly SAP.
• Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations.
