Video Researcher - Facebook Content

About the Role

We are seeking a Video Researcher to join our content team and assist in expanding our Facebook video production. The primary task involves locating trending, interesting, and pertinent video footage from online sources to serve as raw material for video creation. The role requires researching diverse topics, including celebrities and entertainment, historical events, current affairs and global news, viral internet stories, politics and social issues, as well as intriguing facts and trending themes. The researcher will collaborate closely with the content team to select suitable videos and organize content for our editors' immediate use.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate relevant and trending video clips on social media platforms and the internet.
• Conduct research based on specific topics, storylines, or content briefs.
• Identify high-quality, appropriate footage to support video projects.
• Collect and systematize raw footage for use by the editing team.
• Monitor trends to spot videos with strong viral potential.
• Search through platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and other relevant sites.
• Maintain an organized filing system for video content.
• Collaborate with editors and content creators to ensure footage aligns with video requirements.
• Provide sufficient footage daily to produce at least two videos.
• Stay informed about current internet trends, viral stories, and emerging topics.

• Proficient at online research and information retrieval.
• Deep understanding of social media trends and viral content dynamics.
• Ability to locate specific footage quickly, even with limited preliminary information.
• Good sense of video aesthetics and what makes content visually compelling.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and capable of meeting daily deadlines.
• Experience researching across multiple online platforms.
• Prior experience in video research, social media, digital media, journalism, or content creation is preferred but not mandatory.

Important Notes

This role is not for academic research. We are looking for someone skilled at navigating the internet rapidly, recognizing useful video clips, understanding viral content, and creating a robust library of visual materials for video production.

Work Schedule

The working hours are from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from home.

Compensation

The starting salary is PKR 55,000 monthly. Salary flexibility exists based on the candidate's experience, research expertise, and skill level.
