Position Summary
The Vice President of Supply Chain will spearhead the company's comprehensive supply chain strategy and operations. This role encompasses overseeing procurement, strategic sourcing, production planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and supplier performance. As a premier manufacturer of highly engineered cast and forged metal components for the aerospace and defense sectors, the company seeks a supply chain executive adept at managing intricate raw material sourcing, capacity planning, regulatory adherence, and operational execution within a stringent, quality-focused manufacturing setting.
This executive leader will be instrumental in formulating and implementing supply chain strategies to guarantee the consistent availability of metals and specialty metals essential for critical aerospace and defense programs. The Vice President of Supply Chain will champion operational excellence, enhance delivery reliability, optimize inventory levels and working capital, cultivate robust supplier partnerships, and proactively mitigate supply chain risks, all while actively supporting the company's expansion goals and unwavering dedication to superior quality and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Experience
- Direct involvement in supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing operations.
- Proven track record of managing significant spend budgets, exceeding $400 million.
- Expertise in processes such as castings, forgings, precision machining, heat treatment, and other metalworking techniques relevant to aerospace and defense clients.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems, DFARS regulations, government contracting landscapes, and specific compliance mandates within the aerospace supply chain.
- Experience in cultivating and managing strategic relationships with suppliers of specialty metals, forgings, castings, and vital aerospace components.
